Won’t work if magnet aligns with nails in cabinet door. Contacted manufacturer for replacement adhesive since we had to reposition/replace locks to get them to work and they told me to go buy some at a hardware store because they do not have any. Manufacturer’s web page says they stand behind products and will replace them as “they are that confident.” Very poor customer service since these are almost double the cost of other magnetic cabinet locks with screws.

We installed two of these about a month ago. The adhesive is strong, the magnet is strong and there is no concern that the baby will pinch his/her fingers using this type of locking mechanism. They are MUCH easier to install than the Tot Locks (no drilling required) I have the Tot Locks in my kitchen, and they work well but I didn’t want to drill into the interior of my entertainment center where I installed these…I’ll be ordering another set to secure some other areas in our house from a busy toddler!

After purchasing these locks I followed the instructions to install them & the very next day my 3 yr old pulled hard enough on the locked drawer that they came right off and could not be reapplied. What a waste of money!

For me these were a waste of money.
I used the adhesive tape only. The tape is not like the easily removable 3M tape so removing the locks and adhesive residue is difficult.
Only two (seldom used) cabinets are still working. This is an Ikea cabinet so maybe the locks fit the modern design well.
The other seven locks were installed in the kitchen and bathroom which have old cabinets. The locks simply do not catch. It is as if the angle of the door closing means the locks and catches do not line up properly. One cabinet worked well but my toddler pulled on it hard enough to break the adhesive. I considered re-installing it using the screws but just went for a simple door handle lock (I had to change the cabinet handles from knobs to D-shaped ones).
I feel like I might be doing something wrong but there is another sort of lock I installed successfully on drawers which I could not install in the bathroom cabinet. It seems the angle of the door closing means the locks and catches do not line up properly. Whereas drawers open and close in the straight line.

We just got these locks for our kitchen cabinets. We have a 10 month old that just recently discovered the cabinets, pulled a class dish out and broke it! We then knew it was time to get locks. They work really well! We only have one lock that doesn’t seem to lock all the way every time when I close the cabinet door. Not really sure why it’s just that one. I’m thinking we don’t have enough cabinet space for the backing on the lock to adhere to and that’s the main problem, but otherwise, I’m pretty pleased.
