Q&A: At what week/month did you register for baby products?

At what week/month did you register for baby products?
Just curious! I am only 8 weeks so I won’t be doing that for a while, but I just would like to know! Also what are some products that were really great and helped you out a lot with your baby? Thanks!
Ok, so I could do it now. Yay! I thought it would be wierd, but like you said I can put stuff on there for both boys and girls.

I started at 12 weeks and put boy and girl products on it… so that when I found out the sex, I could just delete the color I didn’t need. I am still adding to it everyday, because if you start early, you know you won’t forget anything. I don’t plan to give the link or number to anyone until I am 24 weeks, but I already have it ready and I am just at 20 weeks now.
As soon as I found out the gender
my last pregnancy i didnt register till i was 6 months along.
I am due 8/16/09 and im 7weeks now, ill prob “request” not “register” around 5 months after i find out the sex.
I waited til I found out the baby’s sex at my 20wk ultrasound.
Helpful items:
Burpclothes
Receiving blankets
Diaper Genie (if you’re using disposables)
Bouncer
Changing Pad
With my first, I registered at about 23 or 24 weeks. I just made sure it was several weeks before my baby showers to give everyone plenty of time to shop :)
I registered at 5 months…definitely get a swing and bouncer chair
i started doing mine around 20 weeks along…or as soon as i found out the gender. its just easier that way.
Aww… Congratulations!!! Last year I was in the same place as you. My daughter was just born on August 21st of this year.
Good luck – I hated being pregnant in the middle of summer, but then again I do live in Florida so I found that a bathingsuit was my bestfriend suring pregnancy.
I registered at 20 weeks. I wanted everything to be done b4 I was 8 months b/c I wanted to relax and rest my last 2 months.
I highly reccommend a Boppy (great for breastfeeding and heloing baby learn to sit on own) and a swing – you can NEVER go wrong with a swing. I have the Boppy swing (sold at Babies R Us) and it is portable so I take it whenever we go to family’s house for a long while.
OH and one last thing – dont waste your money on the book What to Expect when you are Expecting. I HIGHLY reccommend that you buy the Pregnancy Journal (you can get it in the book section @ Target) I could not live with out that during my pregnancy.
i would wait until 12-13 weeks as you will be less likely to have a miscarriage then.
you need all the basics like a pram, car seat, bouncer nets are good, some recommend swings if your bubby whinges a lot. =]
you can have bubby sleep with you for the first three months and then get a cot.. at one year a jolly jumper, one and a half a high chair etc… but you stilll have a while, so don’t rush into everything now
at roughly four months they will start to play, hold and shake rattles etc and a small mat they can lie on while mum is busy is good.
it is easiser for the first coulpeof months to use a baby bath, but after that you can shower and bathe with him/her normally.
and you really don’t need a change table.. the bed and floor are fine for this.. but change mats are good.
I was about 19 weeks. it was after the ultrasound we got that determined the baby’s sex.
i think i was like 23 weeks when i did my registry… u dont want to do it too early cuz then they might not have the same products u wanted by the time u hae ur shower.
