What is the one baby product you couldn’t live without?

We are going to start registering and we don’t want to get a bunch of things that aren’t true necessities, our house is pretty small so we don’t have tons of space. I know we will get a crib, stroller and dresser but beyond that we are looking for other necessities that were REALLY useful for you. Thanks!

I love my diaper genie. I never had to think much about diaper pail smells.
When I first read this I thought you meant any items, not just bigger necessities. I use baby wipes like there’s no tomorrow. I could NOT live without Huggies wipes!

A baby swing!!!!!!!!! :)

His jumper. That’s more of a down the road thing though, although I did get mine at my baby shower
Hes almost 6 months and jumps in that thing like theres no tomarrow.

Gives me time to do bottles and dishes :) haha

That and his swing. But he slept in his swing 24/7 until 3 weeks ago now he wont even nap in there anymore only his crib

Definitely Genie diaper trash, love it.
Also, I know you don’t have any room but a baby swing is a LIFE SAVER. I don’t know what I would’ve have done without it, especially on those nights where nothing seems to soothe your baby.

I’d say a pack-n-play but that’s because my son goes to his grandma’s for sleepovers. They’re also great in you want to go over to a friend’s house so your baby can nap. Or you can put them in it to play with toys while you vacuum cook or clean.

Very little of what is sold for babies is needed. Just look at the product and think can I replicate the result without buying this or will my child really be missing out on anything if I didn’t get this item?

Edit to add: if you do get a swing get one that goes front to back and side to side.

I love my boppy. My son is 10 months old and I still use it every time I feed him. It was also great for when he was sitting up but still fell over sometimes because it came all the way around him and no matter what way he fell it caught him.

When he was a newborn, he lived in his bouncy chair, so that’s another thing that I could not have lived without.

Swaddling blankets were another thing that was very useful. I never really got the hang of swaddling with regular blankets and the swaddling blankets made it so easy and stayed in place.

Also, I loved my sling (I know they just came out saying they are dangerous, but I think that’s only if used improperly. I never had any problem with it at all.). For the first 3 months I carried him around in it all the time. I used it instead of a stroller or his car seat when I went out, too. It was really easy to carry him and my son always slept when he was in it and it would calm him down almost instantly when I put him in it.

A bassinet that turns into the playpen for when you are finished with the bassinet part. Great for having them in your room for the first few nights, and I loved the playpen for when I needed a safe place to put my daughter so I could run to the washroom or start a meal. You may find a lounge chair/bouncy seat good for some hands free time. I’m with the other Mom’s I love, love, love the diaper genie!! I have a wipe warmer that I love too. Great when they are new Born’s, those wipes are some cold on their little bums.

First, do not register for cute clothes. People will give you tons of cute outfits. I got so many clothes I have 2 large containers full of clothes some of which have never been opened.

What I would register for are
tshirts
mittens
socks
gowns
bottles and the next nipple sizes
bottle brush cleaner
bottle drying rack
baby thermometer
hooded towel
infant tub
wash clothes
baby bath soap (2 different kinds just in case you cant use one type, Aveeno and Johnson Baby)
diapers
diaper bag
wipes
diaper stacker
wipe warmer (I love mine but not a necessity)
play gym, mat
toys
crib aquarium soother
a swing (this is a God send)
monitor ( I have a mobi video monitor that is 120 at Target, 100 at Walmart that is awesome)
a baby sling or carrier (nice for around the house)
extra car seat base (if you have two cars it is great to not have to switch the base)

That is about all I can think of that I use on a regular basis. Good luck.

My baby Bjorn… I had to have them in our cars so I bought two. I love that thing!!!
Im an on the go mommy and I cant live without it. Every time I put her in it, she passes right out too!
