Where to find the best baby products?
So i just found out i’m pregnant about a week ago.
We weren’t trying this time but it happened. We’re pretty much ready but it did come as a surprise.

What is the best website to find good quality baby products w/ reviews.

ANY help/advice would be great, not just on products … ANY advice.

Thank you.
Yeah. I’m really just trying to price around right now.

ok, well I like ebay alot!! walmart is a good store!! so is target.. I dont know of any rewiew sights but I know I got alot of my baby stuff at target.

It’s incredibly daunting to face all the gear and supplies you’re going to need. Amazon.com, babiesrus.com and target.com all have user reviews and I generally survey them all if I’m looking into a product.

The best advice I can give you is to head to a Babies R Us (a superstore if you have one closeby) and familiarize yourself with the different brands & products. Look at strollers, carseats, Bouncy-chairs, etc and get a feel for what everything is about. The first time my husband and I went into one to register for my shower, we left with our heads spinning and not much accomplished. THEN I got on websites, asked friends, etc and it all started to make more sense. I noticed at malls what strollers and gear people were using, etc.

The second bit of advice is to realize that no two families like the exact same set of stuff. People will tell you up and down that you cannot live without a certain product or that another product is useless and someone else will swear the opposite. It even varies from baby to baby. So DON’T feel like you need to buy everything in advance. You need a carseat. You need a crib or bassinet. Probably need a few clothes, diapers and wipes. Nothing much else is essential to bring your baby home and you can feel it out as you go. For example, we thought we could skip the changing table, but a few days into it, we went out and bought one.

Same goes for supplies – wipes, diapers, bottles…you can’t possibly know what you prefer until you’re in the trenches.

Good luck and happy shopping!

When my son was a baby I got everything from Babies R Us and Target. When it came to baby gear anyway. Both sites show reviews of the products you’re looking at.

It may sound a little weird, but if you see something you like while you’re out (a mom pushing a really cool stroller) ask where she got it and if she’s happy with it. That’s honest first hand experience.

It’s good that you’re looking early though…waiting till the last minute isn’t good at all! (Like me calling my mom at 1 in the morning from the hospital to tell her that I needed her to go buy a Boppy…haha)

I really like http://www.onestepahead.com They don’t have reviews, but they have a lot of really unique and helpful stuff. They also have a whole safety section. Check it out. Also, I would buy anything just yet, because at up to 8 weeks your chance of miscarriage is 20%, after 8 weeks until like 12 weeks, it is 1-5%. I don’t say this to be mean- i just know it would be devestating to have to look at the stuff you bought if something bad happened. Best of luck to you and your baby!
