I typically bathe my 10 month old son at night, so I use Johnson and Johnson’s bedtime bath and lotion. If he gets messy during the day, I use No More Tears and pink baby lotion. He always smells so good! (sometimes I use the bedtime bath, too!)
For my 3 year old who has eczema–I use Dove soap for his body. I’ve used that or Cetaphil since he was about a year old. I’ve always used J&J shampoo on him.
For my 5 month old I use J&J baby wash for his body & hair. No signs of eczema in him. After bath I use J&J baby oil gel all over him to keep his skin soft.
7.5 months old: Dove hair and body wash Gerber cucumbers lotion Huggies diapers Pantene zinc cream I am really really happy with all of the above.Never had any skin problems or rash so far
Well I use Huggies head to toe wash. Shes almost 5 months old. I dont use condidtioners or anything like that….Its pointless. I use Aveeno diaper rash cream before bed since she sleeps through the night and it helps protect her. Luv diapers, huggie wipes…..
I like Kiehl’s, Aveeno and Earth’s Best for skin care and bathing when they’re little. In all three cases, I used an all-in-one product for body wash/shampoo. But then, my son didn’t have a lot of hair until he was about 10 months. The Kiehl’s product was great because it foamed, and didn’t run as much – but it was expensive!
My son has graduated to Suave Kids’ shampoo since then.
my son is 5 mnths old and i have been using Johnson&Johnson products on him since he was born..I have a 19 mnth old son and i use Johnson&Johnson lil buddies shampoo on him.i also used johnson&johnson products on him when he was born.. i really like them i switch on the kinds like from cucumber melon to original to lilac lol i love all of them. I use Huggies diapers on my 5 mnth old bc they fit him the best hes a bigger baby so, and my 19 mnth old i use white cloud.
baby shampoo and baby powder (johnson & johnson) baby dove body wash pampers deapers and wipes and Ivory snow for baby clothes my son is 3 now and those are the brands we use
My daughter is 18 months and I use Aveeno baby wash and shampoo and aveeno lotion. Pampers diapers and pampers sensitive wipes. and Buttpaste for diaper rash
I started out using J&J bedtime bath and lotion but she broke out with it. so i use dove body wash (the same thing I use) and then sauve shampoo and conditioner (the 2in1 kids stuff) baby magic lotion pull ups and pampers wipes mostly. my daughter just turned 2 yrs.
Diapers – Pampers Swaddler’s * great absorption, coverage & they are so soft!
Wipes – Pampers Sensitive * thick & great for cleaning
Bath – Johnson & Johnson’s * clean original scent, we really have had No Tears!
Lotion – Aveeno with Oatmeal & Lavender * after her bath she gets a massage with this. She loves it & supposedly the lavender has a calming effect. It seems to get her relaxed for bedtime.
Scratches/Cradle Cap/Rash- Aquaphor * Its basically glorified petroleum jelly but it really does work.
Wash – Johnson & Johnson (the yellow one with the pump top) Lotion – Johnson & Johnson bedtime (the purple one) Diapers – Huggies Wipes – Huggies (sensitive for really young, regular for older) Formula – Isomil Bottles – Avent Powder – Johnson& Johnson Diaper cream – Desitin creamy (but only if he had rash… usually I just put vaseline on after his bath and he was fine) Laundry Detergent – dont remember the name but the label was pink
My son is 2 1/2 now. When he was 5 weeks old he was put in the hospital for 30 days b/c he developed meningitis from salmonella. We have no idea where the salmonella came from except it was in our environment after Katrina. I had been using tap water to make his formula but switched after that to Nursery water just to be safe… and I still use it to dilute his juice etc! I know mine was an isolated event, but it is something else to consider.
I got both Johnsons and Baby Magic products from my shower. I didn’t like the Baby Magic for my girl because it dries out her hair (she has lots of it), but it is fine for my boy.
I prefer the Johnson & Johnson Bedtime Bath because I like the smell.
Pampers are the best diapers. We also use Pampers wipes. Johnson&Johnson combo wash/shampoo for baths, and J&J lotion. A&D for diaper changes, but when there is any sign of diaper rash, we use the zinc oxide (Desitin). We buy the CVS brands of A&D and zinc because it’s exactly the same as the brand names except it’s much cheaper. For severe diaper rash, we have a big old tub of Triple Paste. That stuff is the best, it really works. It’s about $30 a tub, but it’s only needed if the diaper rash is really bad. Bottles – we used Dr Brown’s but now he’s on a cup (he’s 18 months old). Formula- we used Similac Neosure at first, because he was a preemie, then we switched to Similac Advanced. Switched to whole milk when he turned 1.
I use water. no soap at all, it’s bad for their skin. they arent stinky, so why use soap? I have 2 kids, 2.5 years and 9 months. if they have dirt from playing outside or if they have jam all over, then I will put in one squirt of Cetaphil skin cleanser or some other fragrance and dye free gentle soap. I add one squirt while the tub fills up to spread it around. washcloth and soap is all your baby needs. their skin is too delicate for the detergents and the weird chemicals get absorbed easily by their thin skin.
I agree with Amy. I don’t use soap on my babies. I used Johnson’s shampoo once they finally sprouted hair (after they turned one) except on my third baby who always got red eyes and a stuffy nose from that particular shampoo.
